The 2011 Yilgarn Rallye, this year sponsored by HA Young Plumbing, has gone off with a bang for the quad class with 11 quads taking part out of the 35 moto and quad starters for the event. The rallye takes in around 900km of station tracks, gravel roads and mining exploration tracks around the town of Southern Cross in the Western Australia Goldfields with a lot of similar terrain taken in as last years Australasian Safari stages through the same region (prolouge for the 2010 Aus Safari was based out of Southern Cross)

Heath Young pulled out a quick time in prolouge to be the first quad away for the event but the class favourite suffered with a cooling system issue in the first stage and ended the first day with a DNF. In the end though it was the experience of rally rider Glenn Brown that won through, in his first ride on a TRX700XX in pretty much standard trim with a long range tank and slip on pipe Glenn managed to not only managed to finish 50 minutes clear of 2nd place Josh Da Silva but 9th outright in the event. Once again the TRX700XX has proved its ability's for this kind of racing with wins now at Yilgarn, Condo and Safari in 2010-11.
